Terms & Conditions

Fuse Flick Ltd
Company Number: 16386006

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of domestic electrical installation services by Fuse Flick Ltd (“the Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) to customers (“the Client”). By requesting or accepting our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Scope of Services

Fuse Flick Ltd provides domestic electrical installation and related services including wiring, rewiring, consumer unit upgrades, circuit additions, lighting and power installations, fault finding, and electrical improvement works within residential properties.

Services are limited to the scope agreed in writing, quotation, or work order. Any additional works requested outside the agreed scope may be separately quoted and charged.

2. Quotations and Estimates

All quotations and estimates are based on information available at the time of issue. Where site conditions change or previously hidden issues are discovered, we reserve the right to revise pricing and scope.

Quotations are typically valid for a limited period stated on the quote. After that period, price and availability may change.

3. Acceptance and Contract Formation

A contract is formed when the Client accepts a quotation or instructs us to proceed with works. Acceptance may be written, electronic, or verbal. Once accepted, these Terms apply to the agreed services.

We reserve the right to refuse or withdraw from any project before commencement where necessary for safety, compliance, or operational reasons.

4. Client Responsibilities

The Client agrees to:

  • Provide accurate information about the property and existing electrical systems
  • Ensure safe and reasonable site access
  • Keep work areas clear where reasonably possible
  • Inform us of known faults, alterations, or previous electrical issues
  • Obtain any permissions required from landlords or managing agents

Delays or additional costs arising from missing or incorrect information are the responsibility of the Client.

5. Access and Working Conditions

The Client must provide safe working conditions and access to electrical intake positions, meter cupboards, consumer units, and work areas. We may suspend work if conditions are unsafe or access is not available.

We are not responsible for delays caused by restricted access, third-party contractors, or site readiness issues.

6. Compliance and Standards

Work is carried out in line with recognised UK electrical standards and good industry practice applicable at the time of installation. Compliance relates to the installation work performed, not pre-existing wiring or systems outside the agreed scope.

Where existing installations are found to be unsafe, we will advise the Client. Responsibility for remedial decisions remains with the Client unless additional work is authorised.

7. Variations and Additional Work

Any variation to the agreed scope must be approved by the Client. Variations may affect cost and completion time. We are not obliged to proceed with additional work until agreed.

Where urgent safety work is required, we may carry out minimum necessary corrective action and charge accordingly.

8. Payment Terms

Payment terms will be stated in the quotation or invoice. Deposits may be required before work begins. Stage payments may apply to larger projects.

Late payments may result in:

  • Suspension of ongoing work
  • Withholding of certificates or documentation
  • Additional administrative charges

All materials supplied remain our property until paid in full, where permitted by law.

9. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Clients must provide reasonable notice for cancellations or date changes. We reserve the right to charge for lost time, booked labour, and ordered materials where short-notice cancellation occurs.

If we must reschedule due to operational reasons, we will offer the next reasonable available date.

10. Testing and Certification

Where applicable, testing and certification will be provided for completed works within the agreed scope. Certification applies only to circuits and components worked on, not the entire property installation unless specifically contracted.

Certificates must not be altered or reused for unrelated works.

11. Limitations of Liability

We are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing faults or hidden defects
  • Indirect or consequential losses
  • Loss of use, revenue, or business interruption
  • Damage arising from client-supplied materials or instructions

Our total liability for direct loss relating to any contract is limited to the value of the services supplied. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Warranties and Materials

We use materials and components considered suitable for domestic installations. Manufacturer warranties apply where provided. We do not extend separate product warranties beyond those manufacturers’ terms.

Labour warranty, where offered, applies only to the specific work completed and is void where third parties alter the installation.

13. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, including power outages, supply shortages, severe weather, illness, transport disruption, or regulatory restrictions.

14. Data and Privacy

We collect and use client contact and project information only for service delivery, record keeping, safety documentation, and legal compliance. We do not sell personal data. Information may be shared with regulators or insurers where required.

15. Complaints and Disputes

Any concerns should be raised promptly so we have the opportunity to review and respond. We aim to resolve disputes through direct discussion in the first instance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction over any dispute.
